So I'm sitting across the table watching my son eat his breakfast. Fruity Pebbles, followed by a chaser of Cookie Crisp with a white cream donut dessert ending.
So I'm thinking that depending on how you look at it, I am a really great mom, or a really lousy mom.
On the one hand, I could consider myself a really great mom, because truly, isn't this breakfast every kids dream? But on the other hand, we are about to go to Antonio's 5 year check up. If he happens to mention his breakfast to his doctor...well...you know what I am going to hear.
I don't know; I'll stick with the "really great mom" bit and just give him a vitamin after breakfast.

When your mother offers to watch your kids, TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN!
So last week my mother offered to watch my two kids and my sister's two kids so that we could go out shopping. How nice!! But wait a minute. My sister and I hemmed and hawed about it for days. Should we, shouldn't we, etc. etc. Finally I kind of just casually said- well, I guess if you are offering, why would I say no, whatever I do.
Ok, let's just STOP RIGHT THERE. What was my problem!?!?!?!?!? When someone offers to watch your kids, you don't think about it. You don't hem and haw. You don't let them know in a few days. You say yes and you say yes IMMEDIATELY!
If you are a parent, you know what its like to go shopping with kids. I really don't even need to go into description. The fighting, the screaming, the defiance, picking up the snacks they drop all over the floor, the fighting, the wanting wanting, the....I gotta stop. I'm getting cold sweats. Shopping with children isn't fun. Yet, every time I go I seem to think it will be different this time. And every time I go, I think WHY DO I DO THIS, this is horrendous?! But not me today folks!! Nope! None o' dat! I can look, take my time, try on things WITHOUT the extra hoopla! As I said on Facebook, "sweet glorious Jesus what a day"! Cuz shopping without children is....well...something of a dream I guess. I hardly ever do it. But I'll tell ya what I do know. It's gonna be great!!!!!!!!!!
So, when my stepmom emailed me the other day about taking all the grandkids to a little circus in town, did I need to think about it? Sure, I glanced at the calendar. But within SECONDS, I was emailing back with confirmation. Lesson learned. You don't ponder. You take the money and run!

Just a two year hiatus, that's all...

I know, the blog reading masses have been wondering...where in the world have I gone? Why aren't I blogging? Well, truthfully, no real reason at all. Just stopped. So, I came across my blog while commenting on someone else's blog, so I'm thinking, hey, why not get my blog juices flowing again. Dare ya, Linberger.
So here I am!
Blogging, facebooking, texting...living the technological life. (Ok, fine. I don't twitter. There's only so much you can do. )
Welcome back to blogspot, me!
Life in a nutshell before I return to my usual senseless banter? Raising two kids- one starting kindergarten in the fall....Buying our first home this month.....Started waitressing a few times a week (it ain't social work, but its Social-Work.)....being the best wife ever (or the best wife he's ever had anyway).....living, laughing, loving, serving.
And now blogging.
Tata for now blog world!
